Terms of Service
Effective May 3, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ShuttleSnap (the "Service"), operated by ShuttleSnap ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, booking a shuttle, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
ShuttleSnap is an online marketplace that connects river enthusiasts ("Customers") with independent third-party shuttle providers ("Providers") who offer vehicle shuttle services on rivers. ShuttleSnap is not a shuttle provider. We do not own, operate, or control the vehicles, drivers, or services offered by Providers. We facilitate bookings and payments between Customers and Providers.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or book a shuttle. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
4. Bookings & Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe, Inc. By booking a shuttle, you authorize ShuttleSnap and Stripe to charge your selected payment method for the shuttle fee plus any applicable platform fee and taxes. ShuttleSnap collects payment on behalf of Providers and remits the Provider's share via Stripe Connect, less our platform fee.
Pricing is set by Providers. Confirmed bookings represent a contract between you and the Provider; ShuttleSnap is not a party to that contract.
5. SMS Messaging
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in during booking, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from ShuttleSnap related to your booking — including booking confirmations, status updates, and communications from your shuttle driver. SMS messages are sent through our messaging provider, Twilio.
Message frequency: varies based on your booking activity (typically a handful of messages per booking). Message and data rates may apply and are charged by your mobile carrier; ShuttleSnap is not responsible for these charges. Carriers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opt out: You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. After replying STOP you'll receive a confirmation message and will not receive further SMS messages, though you may continue to receive transactional emails about your booking.
Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact customer care at support@shuttlesnap.com .
See our Privacy Policy for information about how SMS opt-in data is collected and protected. SMS opt-in data is never shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation and refund terms are set by each Provider and shown at the time of booking. Refund requests should be directed to the Provider in the first instance. ShuttleSnap may, at its sole discretion, intervene to mediate disputes but is under no obligation to issue refunds for Provider-rendered services.
7. Assumption of Risk — River Activities
River-related activities, including paddling, floating, fishing, and the transport of vehicles to and from access points, involve inherent risks. These risks include but are not limited to drowning, hypothermia, injury, vehicle damage, theft, and loss of property.
You acknowledge and accept these risks. You agree that ShuttleSnap is not responsible for the condition of access points, the actions of Providers, the security of your vehicle while in a Provider's custody, or any injury or loss arising out of your river activity. Providers act as independent contractors and are solely responsible for the services they perform.
8. Provider Terms
Providers represent and warrant that they hold all licenses, insurance, and permits required by law to operate a shuttle service in their jurisdiction. Providers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of ShuttleSnap. Providers are responsible for vehicle maintenance, driver qualifications, tax compliance, and lawful operation.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Circumvent ShuttleSnap by transacting outside the platform with Providers you discovered through the Service;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers;
- Attempt to access accounts or data not belonging to you;
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY PROVIDER WILL PERFORM AS DESCRIBED.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHUTTLESNAP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE PLATFORM FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShuttleSnap, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any conduct we determine, in our sole discretion, to violate these Terms or to be harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time from account settings.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Gallatin County, Montana, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
